Renowned golf architect Rees Jones is reimagining the golf experience at Addison Reserve. Phase One renovations are complete, providing an improved experience on Trepidation and at the practice facilities. Phase Two will commence in the spring of 2024 and will enhance the Redemption and Salvation golf courses. Signature holes and elaborate water features are seen throughout the 27 holes of championship golf.
Redemption, with its slightly shorter length, does offer the chance to win back a few squandered strokes. The ninth hole on Redemption is somewhat of an equalizer hole in that the longer hitter will likely use a shorter club off the tee so the shorter hitter may find an opportunity, with a delicate approach, to win the match.
The creek on nine Salvation sets up a classic par-five finish. Most will play this as a three shot hole, so the creek fronting the green will likely need to be avoided twice, on a lay-up and the flip wedge approach.
Trepidation, with its soaring elevation changes starts out slow much like the steady climb at the start of the roller coaster, then it twists, turns and ultimately descends on the ninth green. Nervous agitation might be present on the ninth fairway. The prudent golfer might well be advised to bail out to the left and hope for a favorable kick rather than risk landing in a watery grave to the right.
Addison Reserve's golf experience offers something for everyone, from private instruction to tournaments. Most popular are our golf schools and "Build Your Own Clinic" that allows students to enjoy learning skills for golf with a social element. Junior golfers also enjoy clinics that provide instruction to develop necessary basic skills.
Enjoy getting to know new people while competing in varying and fun formats. From November through April, the golf department offers weekly events on Men's Day Wednesdays for a nominal entry fee. Addison's very active Women's Golf Association has a 9-hole and 18-hole division. Ladies play on Tuesdays throughout the season and enjoy a variety of events to keep the game of golf interesting. A great way to meet new people, ladies share the love of the game with fellow Members.
The season at Addison Reserve ushers in many golf tournaments for ladies and men. Our annual tournaments include Couples Events, Nine and Dines, Member/Member and Member/Guest tournaments and Club Championships for both ladies and men. Additional charitable tournaments, such as Play for Pink, are held annually.
Our golf professionals offer private and clinic instruction to our young members. Youth members enjoy a fun atmosphere while developing good basic skills for the game of golf.
In the full service golf shop Members will find an extensive array of equipment, clothing and shoes. Our personal shoppers and golf staff are available to assist with purchases, custom orders and tee times.
